Know an app that should be free?

We look for apps that are simple utilities at heart — the kind of thing a developer could build in a weekend — that have been wrapped in a subscription model or turned into a data-harvesting product.

We're looking for apps that force you to create an account for no reason. Apps that charge a subscription for what would've been a simple $5 purchase a few years ago. Companies too incompetent to safeguard your data, yet still insist on collecting it. And perhaps most egregiously, apps that do all of the above and still have the audacity to sell your data - picking your pockets on both the front and back end.
